Just a 20 minute drive outside of Perth, Mel reckons Caversham House is well worth the drive if you are looking to impress your date. The restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday between 11.30 and 2.30 pm and the chef describes the cuisine as a fusion of flavours from all over the Mediterranean. Alfresco dining is available overlooking the magnificent formal gardens next to the Swan River.
“If you are looking for somewhere special to take a date in the Perth area, Caversham House is about as romantic as it gets” explains Mel “It’s not cheap, so it would probably be best saved for a special occasion or when celebrating an important milestone in your relationship somewhere like this could be a bit overwhelming if you have just started seeing each other. Its not for first dates.”
