Looking for somewhere to take a date in Sydney?  we’ve done some of the hard work for you. The Meetmyfriend team have sought out some of Sydney’s best ideas for great dates. The editions featured destination for Sydney dating couples is a lunch date in Watsons Bay. Meetmyfriend team and Sydney single Sarah, had this to say about her top dating destination:

“Having been single and dating in Sydney a while this was one of my most memorable dates so far.  It’s a great afternoon out. Save this for a second or third date - it can be a little pricy but worth it if trying to impress. We met at Circular Quay and caught the ferry to Watson’s bay. The trip starts with a tour  Potts Point real estate of the rich and famous, through Rose bay and then on to shimmering Watson’s Bay. From here we walked a long the short beach to the legendary Doyle’s Seafood Restaurant. Established in 1800’s the place is bursting with historic with excellent water and city views.

Once seated at the window I had to break it my date that I cant eat fish. At first this seemed like a bit of a disaster but we were both relieved to find other options like steak and salad choices on the menu. I’m told the fish was superb too. Although the restaurant is a little pricy you could get almost the same experience with a more rustic appeal if you dined on the pier at Doyle’s famous fish and chip shop. We finished the afternoon with a stroll around the waterside park and a ferry back to circular quay.

Where:                     Watsons Bay Doyles on the Beach or fish and chips on the Wharf

Why:                        A great day out everything: boats, wine, views and food.

When:                      Lunchtimes are best for day trippers – regular ferries leave from Circular Quay wharf 4.
