Lucy’s Story:

Lucy is a self confessed adventure junkie, always on the hunt for that next exciting escapade. Her travels have taken her far and wide, from Europe to Asia and all across Oz. But whilst her journeys have been rousing, they have regrettably not yet yielded much in the way of enduring romance.


At the tender age of 25, Lucy reveals that her previous dating experiences have often been initiated at social gatherings such as pubs, clubs or friends get-togethers. As we all know, these jolly congregations typically involve the consumption of a tasty beverage or two which frequently do not present the ideal circumstances to meet Mr Right. “At one point or another, we’ve all sported the dreaded beer goggles, and we confuse Mr Right with Mr Right-now!” Lucy confesses. Together, they have been checking out the talent and acting as each others ‘wingwoman’ just as they would do if they were out on the town. Given that this was Lucy’s introduction to the world of online dating, she certainly has embraced the concept, saying that she has been on at least half a dozen dates in recent months. “I’ve met some really great guys and have definitely expanded my social circle which is always a worthwhile cause,” she says. When asked how this experience has changed her dating life, Lucy remarks that whilst her search still continues for Mr. Right, in the meantime her friends can live vicariously through her dating adventures!
